What to Expect: This a slow 2 hour cruise through Portland Harbor past Bug Light and Portland Headlight. You will then go through Diamond pass and by Macworth Island back towards the harbor. Pick up can be at the Portland Public Water Taxi Dock at 72 Commercial Street. We can also meet at South Port Marine at 14 Ocean St South Portland. There is free street parking in the vicinity but this can be crowded in the peak of the season.

Sunset cruise
We will spend the day about 15-30 miles offshore in search of ground fish that make good for table fare such as Haddock, Cusk, Pollock, Redfish and, all though not typically in season, Cod. This is a good trip for people who have fished before and enjoy the adventure. This is an 8hr trip leaving the docks in the early am with a max of 4 ppl.

A 4hr trip fishing among the islands of Casco Bay for the Northeast’s most popular gamefish, the striped bass! We will use all manner of fishing tactics from live-lining and chunking to casting artificial baits. The style of fishing will depend on the location and feeding habits of the stripers, which switches day to day. This trip is for all fishing levels including beginners. Max of 4 ppl.

Family inshore Fishing adventure
Heading offshore in search of some of the top predators in the Gulf of Maine. The most common shark caught is the blue shark with appearances of porbeagles, thresher and makos. We will start by heading to the deep waters and setting up a chum slick. Once the sharks find our bait and hookup you will be in a stand-up fishing battle of a lifetime! We do practice catch and release on all species of sharks. This trip is ideal for those who have fished before and are in search of fighting some of the big game fish in the Northeast. This is an 8hr trip with a max of 4 ppl.

SHark fishing
This a great trip for everyone! Spend a morning or afternoon ground fishing within a couple miles of shore. We will be fishing for ground fish such as pollock, cunner, the occasional cod and more. We typically don’t catch keeper size fish on the near shore ledges, but the pace is fast and consistent. A great way to see the many species of the Gulf of Maine with a high probability of catching fish. This is a 4 hour trip that can accommodate 4 people fishing at a time with a max of 6 people on board.

Family Half-Day Offshore fishing trip
This tour is approximately 3 hours. The tour starts in the Portland Harbor and passes Bug Light Park first and Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse. The next lighthouse along the cruise is Portland Headlight followed by Ram Island Ledge Light. We will then pass by Cushing Island which boasts beautiful cliffs. As we make our way back towards Portland Harbor we will stop for views of Fort Gorges.

This little gem is 100 acres of uninhabited land. It is well maintained with easy walking trails from the beach to the sandbar. Along the trails are historic military sites and a prior cottage colony. There are campsites available and a bathroom near the beach. This a great spot for a picnic lunch, sea glass hunting, and swimming.

little chebeague island tour
Jewell Island is a beautiful island just under an hour from Portland harbor. The island offers well-maintained trails, tide pools, historic military towers and ruins. There are campsites that are first come, first serve and multiple outhouses. This a great day adventure with kids. A typical day trip would consist of anchoring in Cocktail Cove, hiking around the island to explore the tide pools, and swimming in the Cove. Option to bring lunch for grilling on the island or pack a picnic. Plan for about three hours on the island.

Fall bird hunting

Four hours of guided bird hunting with a trained German Shorthaired Pointer in Southern Maine. This hunt with target pheasant and we will be on the lookout for woodcock and grouse. The locations will be state stocked pheasant sites. This hunt is for up to two people. You will need Maine hunting licenses and pheasant stamps. Please contact us with any questions regarding these requirements. Shotguns and ammunition not included. Equipment is available if needed. Please inquire at booking. The season will start on September 24th and continue through November.
