What to Expect: This is a leisurely 2 hour cruise. You will travel through Portland Harbor. You will get views of Fort Gorges. This is a former United States military fort built in the 1850s. You then travel past Bug Light Park which is where Portland Breakwater Lighthouse is located. Fort preble is along the way out towards Fort Williams. Then you will cruise out to the historic Portland Headlight located in Cape Elizabeth. The Ram Island Ledges and lighthouse can be viewed before heading north. You will then go through Diamond pass and cruise by Macworth Island in Falmouth. As you head back towards the harbor we may spot some seals. Most summer nights we get a chance to view the seals lounging on the rocks. Then you can enjoy the view of Portland Harbor as the sun is going down. You will definitely want to bring your camera to capture these views! The schedule for these cruises will change throughout the summer to make sure our clients get the best view of a Casco Bay sunset.

What to Bring: We always recommend layering clothing as the weather can change quickly in New England. A blanket can also be helpful for those that get cold easily. Feel free to bring snacks or some takeout as well as your preferred beverages. Check out our blog for boat snack ideas. Please avoid bringing glass on the boat. We will have a gallon of chilled water available for your convenience. We would love to provide restaurant recommendations for takeout if you have any questions. There are multiple great restaurants close to the marina or near the Portland Public Water Taxi Dock. We love getting Flatbreads Pizza for our evening cruises.

Pick up can be at the Portland Public Water Taxi Dock at 72 Commercial Street. We can also meet at South Port Marine at 14 Ocean St South Portland. There is free street parking in the vicinity but this can be crowded in the peak of the season.
